JS Seafood Restaurant, nestled in Bandar Baru Mukah, Sarawak, is quickly becoming a culinary gem in the region. Customers rave about its affordable prices and freshly prepared dishes, making it a must-visit for seafood lovers. Jackson Ding highlights the Kangkung Masak Belacan as a standout, alongside the spicy Sotong Masak Cili Kering, emphasizing that a fulfilling meal can be enjoyed for just RM60, inclusive of refreshing coconut drinks and cold Chinese tea.
The dining experience is further enhanced by attentive service, as demonstrated by customer Zi Sheng Yeo, who appreciated the knowledgeable staff. They not only recommended delicious selections like Obor-obor with Thai chilli and crab in salted egg yolk sauce but also showcased the fresh produce before cooking. Such practices are rare yet notable in local dining.

If go mukah. Must stop by. Affordable price. Kangkung masak belacan is a must try. Sotong masak cili kering are for those who love spicy food. 3 dish + 2 white rice + coconut drink + chinese tea cold only Rm60. I have to write this because the price per person is not in range. We wait 15 to 20 minute. I am sorry. I didn’t take any pictures.
Simple seafood restaurant, the Asam fish was very good. We came for late lunch, only 1-2 tables but was abit slow .
Went for 2nd round of dinner after visiting horrible experience at Mk99 seafood restaurant. This waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Even came out to show us the produces before cooking. Seldom get this practice at local dinning, definitely encourage to continue this practice if able to. generally good seafood. Recommend their Obor-obor with thai chilli, crab with salted egg yolk sauce. Umai Jeb was so-so. 4stars overall
Scouring the entire town to look for something decent to fill our tummies. My wife recommends to give JS Seafood Restaurant a try because it receives positive reviews. Well, since it's getting awfully late for dinner, I drive my way there to order four dishes. The lady server is helpful enough to recommend me some dishes. So, here are the dishes I order: 1. Fried rice vermicelli (or better known locally as fried beehun). Uncle Roger would be singing the praises of this fried rice vermicelli because the chef uses 'wok hei' (metaphorically, the breath of the wok) cooking method to prepare this scrumptious dish. 2. Fried chicken with Thai sauce Not too salty or too spicy. The sauce is tangy and bursting with flavour. The chicken is not dry either. In fact, it's quite juicy and tender. 3. Stir-fired mixed vegetables The 'wok hei' accentuates the flavour of the vegetables. Not salty, too. The portion is quite generous. The price is reasonable. Also, if I'm not mistaken, this restaurant serves no pork. Anyway, if I happen to travel to Mukah again, I will surely patronise this restaurant again.
